The 2013 Live Oak County Fair is a great place to take fun photos - from the lovable lamb to the blue ribbon winner. With today's technology just about everyone has a camera handy to capture that precious memory. So put those photos to good use. Win a spot on the front cover of the LOC Fair special insert along with some cash for your pocket.

1) Take a photo at the 2013 Live Oak County Fair and enter it into the County Fair Photo Contest sponsored by Three Rivers Farmers Coop, Tierra Title and MySouthTexasJobs.com.

2) Go to www.countyfairphotos.com, register and submit.

No entry fee required. Must be 13 years or older to enter. Limit (10) photos per registered user.

Deadline to enter is 11:59 p.m. on April 11, 2013.

Photo submission must:

• be a photograph taken at the 2013 Live Oak County Fair or events related to the fair.
• be suitable for all persons of all ages
• must not contain any copyrighted works
• not have been previously published or copied from the internet

Please respect the privacy of others when taking photos

Prizes:

1st place - Featured on the cover of the Live Oak County Fair Special Insert and $100

2nd place - Featured inside of the Live Oak County Fair Special Insert and $50

3rd place - Featured inside of the Live Oak County Fair Special Insert and $25

A Box of Chocolate is opening Monday, November 21, 2011 on Main Street at 305 N. Washington, Beeville, Texas.

Come in and try decadent chocolates from as far away as Belgium and as close as our neighbors right here in Texas. A Box of Chocolate also offers flavored tea, hot chocolate, flavored coffee, chocolate sauces and sprinkles, peppermint and chocolate marshmallows and much more.

The Replica Vietnam Veteran's Memorial Wall and a Replica Museum will be making its way into Refugio via Goliad. It is expected to arrive in Refugio around 11:30 on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 being escorted by The Patriot Guard Riders and County Deputies. Set-up at the Refugio Community Center will begin on Wednesday, November 2 and volunteers are welcome to come and assist. Please see the schedule of events below and plan to come out and honor our veterans. Admission is FREE, donations are welcome.

Wednesday, November 2 @ 9:00 a.m. - Set-up and viewing

Thursday, November 3- Viewing all day until 9:00 p.m.

Friday, November 4  @ 9:30 a.m. Opening Ceremony at Community Center (will move inside if weather requires). Woodsboro and Refugio High School Bands will be playing along with proclamations from city officials. View Memorial and Museum all day.

Saturday, November 5 @ 9:30 a.m. Ceremony with Keynote speaker Joe Galloway, Guest Speaker Vince Cantu and Ram Chavez and the Veteran Band for live music. Following the ceremony hamburgers and hot dogs will be served in the community center for Veterans and their families. View Memorial and Museum all day.

Sunday, November 6 @ 3:00 p.m. Playing of Taps.
