The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9170 will hold a benefit barbecue on Saturday, Oct. 6, at Post home, 1801 S. Washington St. Serving time is 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Barbecue chicken, rice and beans plates will be served for a $5 donation each. Drive through or dine-in is available. Delivery of five or more plates can be obtained by calling 358-1331, or tickets can be bought from any post or auxiliary member.
