Center for Texas History of the Goliad County Library Hosts Speaker, Renato Ramirez - "Contributions of Tejanos in Texas Celebrated with Monument on Texas Capitol Grounds" - October 22, 2012

The Center for Texas History of the Goliad County Library is sponsoring a talk on the contributions of Tejanos in Texas and the successful effort to place a monument on the Texas Capitol Grounds that honors the contributions of Hispanics to Texas history and culture.

Mr. Renato Ramirez will be our guest speaker. Mr. Ramirez is the current Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of IBC-Zapata. He was also on the board of directors of Tejano Monument, Inc. which undertook the twelve year effort to raise the money and get approval to place the monument in Austin.

The talk will be held in the First United Methodist Church, Goliad, Community Life Building, 134 W. Pearl, on October 22, 2012 at 6:30 PM.
