Steeped as we are in modern Western culture, it's easy to forget that we worship a Jewish Messiah. But Jesus was Jewish, and Christianity is deeply rooted in Biblical Judaism. Larry Stamm of Larry Stamm Ministries will teach a four week workshop entitled “Jewish Roots of Christianity” on Tuesdays during the month of June at Summit Leadership, 3104 Hanover Road, Johnson City, TN. Workshop dates are June 4, 11, 18 and 25 from 6:30 pm-8 pm. Each week covers new material including the origins of the gospel in the Old Testament, how the Feasts of Israel point to the redemptive work of Jesus, the Tabernacle and the Temple, and more. Join Stamm to learn about these connections and gain thought-provoking perspectives that will deepen your faith and enrich your understanding of the Scriptures. Advanced registration requested by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org by June 1st. Suggested donation of $50 per participant to support the work of Larry Stamm Ministries. Larry Stamm Ministries is a non-profit ministry committed to equipping the Church with evangelism tools and techniques and encouraging Christians through biblical preaching from the unique and insightful lens of a Jewish believer in Jesus. Stamm, whose father immigrated to the US during the Holocaust, is the first and only Jewish believer in Jesus in his family. Stamm was raised in a Reform Jewish home in Florida and was Bar Mitzvah at age 13. He always believed in God, but like many, his religious experience was mostly a matter of social and cultural events and tradition. It wasn't until he came to know Jesus in 1987 that his Jewish heritage found a deeper meaning within the context of a personal relationship with the God of Israel. To Larry Stamm, the objective evidence of the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament, and the transformation in his life provide ample evidence that Jesus was who he claimed to be - the Jewish Messiah and Savior of the World. There will be a questions and answers time following each workshop date.
