Fair Housing, It's the Law

To promote fair housing practices, the Town of Woodsboro encourages potential homeowners and renters to be aware of their rights under the National Fair Housing Law. Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968, as amended, prohibits discrimination against any person on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status or national origin in the sale or rental of units in the housing market. For more information on fair housing or to report possible fair housing discrimination, call the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's toll-free hotline at 1-800-669-9777.

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Town of Woodsboro has adopted complaint and grievance procedures regarding its Texas Community Development Block Grant Programs, which outline the steps a citizen may follow to file a written complaint about proposed or completed TX CDBG activity. The Town of Woodsboro will make every effort to respond fully to such complaints within ten (10) working days. Citizens may obtain a copy of these written procedures at the Town of Woodsboro, 121 Wood Avenue, Woodsboro, TX 78393-0632 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, through the mail, or by calling the Mayor at (361) 543-4505.
