PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the George West City Council met in Regular Session on February 19, 2013 and passed the Final Reading of Ordinance No. 733-A, Establishing Regulations for the Operation and Travel of Certain Trucks and Other Large Vehicles.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GEORGE WEST, TEXAS ESTABLISHING REGULATIONS FOR THE OPERATION AND TRAVEL OF CERTAIN TRUCKS, AND OTHER LARGE VEHICLES WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF GEORGE WEST, DESIGNATING TRUCK ROUTES, PERMITTING THE USE OF CITY STREETS FOR LOCAL DELIVERIES, REGULATING AND PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF COMMERCIAL VEHICLES OTHER LARGE TRUCKS ON CITY STREETS AND RESIDENTIAL STREETS, PROVIDING FOR DEFINITIONS, EXCEPTIONS, ESTABLISHING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS HEREOF, PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS AND SEPARABILITY CLAUSE, REPEAL OF CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND PROVISIONS, AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Violation of any provision of this ordinance shall constitute a Class C misdemeanor. Each day that a violation continues shall be a separate offense. Conviction of an offense under this ordinance shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed the maximum established by law for each violation. Any interested citizen may obtain a complete copy of this Ordinance from City Hall.
