NOTICE TO DEFENDANTS: “You have been sued. You may employ an attorney. If you or your attorney do not file a written answer with the clerk who issued this citation by 10:00 a.m. on the Monday next following the expiration of forty-two (42) days after the date of issuance of this citation and petition, a default judgment may be taken against you.”

TO: Unknown Heirs of Juan Salinas, deceased, and the Unknown Heirs of Benino Salinas, deceased, Defendants in the cause herein described.

You and each of you are hereby commanded to appear and answer before the 218th Judicial District Court in the Karnes County Courthouse in Karnes City, Karnes County, Texas, at or before 10:00 a.m. on the first Monday after the expiration of forty-two (42) days from the date of issuance hereof, being at or before 10:00 a.m. on Monday, the 12th day of MAY, 2014, then and there to answer the petition of MARATHON OIL EF, LLC, in Cause No. 14-03-00040-cvk, styled “MARATHON OIL EF, LLC vs JUAN SALINAS, ET AL., AND THEIR UNKNOWN HEIRS, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS,” wherein the said MARATHON OIL EF, LLC is Plaintiff, and the said JUAN SALINAS, ET AL., AND THEIR UNKNOWN HEIRS, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS, are Defendants. The said petition, filed on the 6th day of MARCH, 2014, discloses that the nature of said suit is as follows:

This suit is brought to have a receiver appointed under the provisions of Section 64.091 of the Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code for undivided mineral interests owned by the Defendants in the following described lands in Karnes County, Texas, to-wit:

Tract One: 0.322 acres, more or less, being Lot No. 3 and 4, Block No. 2, Levi Pullin New Mexican Subdivision, Karnes County, Texas, and being more fully described in that certain Warranty Deed dated March 25, 1929 from Levi Pullin to Eliboria Benebidez (a/k/a Benavidez), recorded in Volume 85, Page 504, Deed Records, Karnes County, Texas, described also in that certain Warranty Deed dated April 20, 1931 from Louis McCoy, recorded in Volume 95, Page 453, Deed Records, Karnes County, Texas.

Tract Two: 0.550 acres, more or less, being Lot No. 2, 3, 4 and 5, Block No. 3, Levi Pullin New Mexican Subdivision, Karnes County, Texas, and being more fully described in that certain Warranty Deed dated December 17, 1943, from Levi Pullin to Pantaleon Salinas, recorded in Volume 144, Page 572, Deed Records, Karnes County, Texas.

And to execute Oil, Gas and Mineral Leases thereof to the Plaintiff, and take such other action deemed necessary under the provisions of said statute.

If this citation is not served within ninety (90) days after the date of its issuance, it shall be returned unserved.
