The Bee Community Action Agency (BCAA) will conduct a public hearing in order to present the Agency’s proposed use of Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds. BCAA’s CSBG ARRA service area includes the counties of Aransas, Bee, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live Oak, McMullen, and Refugio. Funds are channeled through the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (U.S. DHHS). BCAA’s anticipated allocation for the period beginning August 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010 is $440,027. BCAA will provide services directly to Bee, Live Oak, McMullen, and Refugio Counties. Services to Kenedy and Kleberg Counties are to be provided through a subcontract with Kleberg County; services in Aransas County are provided through a subcontract with Aransas County. The public hearing will be held at the BCAA main office building located at 1701 NW Frontage Road in Beeville, TX at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2009.
