The Beeville Writers Club announce a new writing contest for anyone who wants to get their work published locally for 2012. Works of poetry, short stories, essays or novels may be submitted for a chance to win $100 in prize money. The Beeville writers who are already club members will get their work displayed on an upcoming website. Aug. 1 is the deadline for submissions. Authors will retain the rights to their work.
