Roger E. Sides Elementary hosted a Literacy Family Fun Night on Thursday, Feb. 21.  Students in grades pk-3rd received a free book from the LEAP grant book distribution project.  Students in grades 4 and 5 received a free book courtesy of Perales Manufacturing-PMI Oil Tools and the Karnes County Civil Detention Center. The contributions were greatly appreciated by the students, parents, and staff of RES Elementary.

Kenedy Middle School Students of the Month for January were treated to a special breakfast by Principal Tim Richter and the KMS staff. Family members joined the students in the celebration. Each student received a certificate and "Rise Above" T-shirt for being an outstanding student at KMS.
