Young riders take part in the 8th Annual St. Jude’s Trike-A-Thon was held at the Karnes City Head Start on Friday, Oct. 21.  The children collected over $1,400.  Proceeds benefit the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The top four collectors were Kaci Jones, Nicholas Salinas, Elidianna Morin and Angel Snyder.  Organizers expressed thanks to everyone who donated toward the event.

Fire Prevention Week was celebrated on Thursday, October 13 at Karnes City Headstart.  Members of the Karnes City Fire Department came out to the school and gave the children various demonstrations showing how their equipment is used to fight fires.
