The Gifted and Talented classes at Kenedy Elementary, 1st-8th, completed their first service learning project. Service learning is a form of project based learning in which academic goals are accomplished through community service. The students assembled "teacher survival kits" for the entire Kenedy School District.  The students combined a research project/art appreciation with the service learning.  The students created a "Pablo Picasso" style of art on white bags that were filled with "words of encouragement, appreciation, and treats".
