Mrs. Jimenez was born Feb. 5, 1920, in Charco. She was a member of St. Frances Xavier Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Emilia Alaniz; her husband, Fidencio Jimenez Sr.; a brother, Piquinto Alaniz; and three sisters, Siria A. Canales, Virginia Viduari and Ofelia Garcia.
Survivors include four sons, Fidencio (Mary Lou) Jimenez of Beeville, Jose Angel (Lupe) Jimenez of Corpus Christi, Reynaldo (Maria) Jimenez of Mathis and Enrique (Sylvia) Jimenez of Skidmore; four daughters, Susie (Ramiro) Ponce of Corpus Christi, Yolanda (Rosalio) Martinez of Sinton, Esmeralda Silva and Janie Jimenez, both of Beeville; 25 grandchildren; and 49 great-grandchildren.
A rosary was held Sunday, April 29, at 7 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home.
The funeral Mass was celebrated at 1 o’clock Monday afternoon, April 30, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Tynan with Rev. Sebastian V. Thomas officiating. Burial followed at Waldheim Cemetery in Tynan.
Pallbearers were Fidencio Jimenez III, Juan Garcia, Jesse Urdiales, Manuel Ponce III, Ramiro Ponce, Albert Ponce and Mario Ponce.
