Mr. Gonzalez was born on Jan. 18, 1964, in Mathis to Antonio and Esperanza (Camacho) Gonzalez Sr. He was a heavy equipment operator for Gulf Coast Materials.
Survivors include his parents; one daughter, Shelby Lynn Gonzalez of Robstown; four sons, Antonio Gonzalez III and Reynaldo Gonzalez, both of Robstown, and Derrick and Bryan Gonzalez, both of Victoria; two sisters, Julia (David) Lopez of Mathis and Gracie (Mike) Vega of Killeen; three brothers, Martin (Juanita) Gonzalez and Tiburcio (Esmeralda) Gonzalez, both of Mathis, and David (Anna Trevino) Gonzalez of Beeville.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Mount Pisgah Church in Mathis.
The funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mathis.
Burial followed at Cenizo Hill Cemetery in Mathis, with Father Fernando officiating.
Pallbearers were Martin Villarreal, Martin Gonzalez, David Gonzalez, Tony Gonzalez III, Reynaldo Gonzalez and Martin Gonzalez Jr.
