BEEVILLE – Along with 10,000 Lutheran congregations of the ELCA, Faith Lutheran Church is sponsoring with Thrivent’s Gulf Coast Chapter a barbecue chicken dinner to benefit the Bee County Affiliate of Habitat For Humanity International and to raise funds for the local chapter’s first house build in 2014.

The date is special in the ELCA as together congregations will be in service to their communities on “God’s Work, Our Hands” Sunday. The dinner will be drive through or dine in at the church, 1500 E. FM 351, on Sept. 8 from 11:45 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. and will be a half chicken, potato salad, beans, trimmings and dessert. The cost is $ 7 per ticket, and presale tickets are available from Habitat board members in the community. The dinner is being prepared by the Men of Faith, led by Fred Schauer and Buddy Kopplin.

For tickets or more information, contact Don Taylor at 361-362-3443.
