Skidmore-Tynan ISD Superintendent David Ross shows identical school desks. The desk on the left was renovated by inmates in the Texas prison system at a cost of $10 to the district. Having the desks refinished rather than replacing them is just one of the many money-saving ideas put to use at S-T schools.
