The Beeville Volunteer Fire Department hosted another one of its highly respected fire schools over last weekend. Assistant Fire Chief Bill Burris said firefighters from 27 different departments took advantage of the training facility on Viggo Road last Saturday. Firemen and women practiced a number of important skills including rescues from smoke-filled building and extinguishing diesel and propane blazes. Here, firefighters battle back the scorching flames of a diesel fire right at sundown that day.
