Mr. Ulmer was born Jan. 1, 1971, in Corpus Christi to Nora Rebeca Cepeda Cartwright and Carl Leon Ulmer Jr. His profession was woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Nora and Charles Cartwright of Beeville; and a brother, Christopher Ulmer of Corpus Christi.
The funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, June 29, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Norris Jackson officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore.
