Charles A. “Chuck” Miles, age 54, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012 at his residence in Tilden. He was born Dec. 10, 1958 in San Antonio, Texas to Larry and Pearl Miles of Tilden. Chuck attended Tilden schools, graduating as valedictorian of his class before heading for Texas A&M University to study Veterinary medicine. He earned his DVM in 1983. He later opened the Brush Country Veterinary clinic in Freer and was in practice for over 25 years. Chuck loved hunting, guns, the ranch and good times with his many friends.

He is survived by his parents, Larry and Pearl (Jordan) Miles of Tilden; brother, Larry Miles, Jr. and wife Kim of Danbury; nephews, Logan and Ethan Miles also of Danbury; and sister, Linda Miles of Rockport, his beloved Lea Adami (Swan) and is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home, 118 W. Oaklawn Road in Pleasanton on Friday, Dec. 28 from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Hurley Funeral Home, Pleasanton, Saturday, Dec. 29 at 10 a.m.
