The public is allowed to put public comments only when Item #2 is presented — other than that, you keep quiet...unless you are on the agenda. My question is why a non-resident, non-elected visitor to the city council meeting is allowed to butt in when my elected council and city manager are trying to decide how to best address the issue?
My city council members and city manager, who is a certified public accountant, do not need the advice of a part-time consultant. They have access to a fine attorney representing the city and a manager. They don’t need a fly-by consultant who cannot be held accountable for anything said or done on his good or bad advice. Not needed. That money should be used on city needs. The same applies to the other consultants.
