Ella JoAnn (Schultz) McMahan, 91, passed away on May 27, 2012. She was born on January 15, 1921, in Cost, TX, to Willie A. and Emma (Muelker) Schultz. She graduated high school, class of 1938, in Monteola, TX. On May 23, 1940, JoAnn married Harold James McMahan. She was a devoted wife for 67 years until his death in 2007, a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed caring for her family, her flower garden, sewing and traveling. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Beeville.

JoAnn is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Merle McMahan of Beeville; daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Andrew Chaffey of Reno, NV; two grandchildren, Keith McMahan of San Antonio and Andrea Chaffey Finn of West Hills, CA; and great grandchildren, Jackson and Reagan McMahan of San Antonio and Skyler and Bowie Finn of West Hills, CA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, her parents, Willie and Emma Schultz, her brothers, Paul Schultz, Fred Schultz, Pete Schultz and her sister, Lill Polozeck.

Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Beeville. Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 31, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Beeville. Interment followed at Beeville Memorial Park.
