Mrs. Chavarria was born to Anastacio and Pilar Chavarria on Feb. 2, 1920, in Beeville and was a retired sales clerk.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Margarito Arredondo; a brother, Anastacio Chavarria; a sister, Julia Ortiz; a grandson, Joe Anthony Arredondo; a great-granddaughter, Angel Arredondo; and a great-grandson, Noah Ryan Guerrero.
Survivors include three sons, Adan (Jackie) Guerrero and Antonio Gonzales, both of Beeville, and Amiliano Gonzales of St. Paul; two daughters, Elda Arrisola of Beeville and Louisa Zamora of Caldwell, Idaho; three brothers, Amalio Chavarria, Bene Chavarria and Oscar Chavarria, all of Beeville; 17 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 46 great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Tuesday, June 26, from 1 to 9 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home. A rosary was recited there that evening at 7 o’clock.
The funeral Mass was celebrated Wednesday, June 27, at 10 a.m. at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Richard Gonzales officiating. Interment followed at San Pedro Cemetery in the Clareville community.
Pallbearers were Benny Chavarria Jr., Jerry Chavarria, Oscar Chavarria, Amiliano Gonzales Jr., Richard Gonzales, Gilbert Keller Jr., Javier Sanchez Jr. and Eric Waddell.
Honorary pallbearers were Devin Ray Villarreal, Alana Michele Guerrero, Lauren Nicole Guerrero, Gavin Gregory Guerrero, Regan Daniel Randall, Markajah Danae White and Nathan Alex Guerrero.
