Allen Bohac, fire chief of the Skidmore Volunteer Fire Department, is retiring after 50 years of service.

A retirement party is scheduled at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, in the commissioners courtroom of the Bee County Courthouse. The public is invited. Refreshments will be served and Precinct 4 County Commissioner Ronnie Olivares will present Bohac with a plaque in gratitude of his service to the community.
