PAWNEE – First Baptist Church of Pawnee gathered for groundbreaking on their new fellowship hall on Sunday, Nov. 17. The new building will be dedicated to the matriarch of the church, Delma Hair, who passed away this year at the age of 102.

“These are exciting days for our church,” Pastor Jeff Brewer said. “Our purpose is to better serve our community. We hope to have the building completed by next summer, allowing us to use the new building during our annual Vacation Bible School.”

“We have a unique community that continues to support us as we grow and build. Pawnee is a community that loves and cares about one another.”

All of the churches of Pawnee will be hosting the annual Thanksgiving Dinner at the Pawnee Elementary School from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Sunday.
