The George West JV Lady Horns ended their 2009-2010 season with a win over Freer on Tuesday, October 20. The Lady Horns were unaware when they entered the match that they were both undefeated in district play. The Lady Bucs took the first set from the Lady Horns 25-23, the ladies did not like it and stepped up to the challenge and won the next two, 25-17 & 25-14. Serving aces for the Lady Horns were Miranda Weed with 1, Jessica Litchenberger had 2, Kaitie Ruiz added 2, Sydney Williamson contributed 2, Caysi Holt added 4, Kaylee Brysch added 2, and Alexa Wheeler had 1. Brysch led the kills with 5, followed by Ruiz with 4, Weed contributed 3, Williamson and Wheeler each had 2. Ruiz led the blocks with 5, Brysch had 3 and Wheeler had 2. Holt led the digs with 8, Victoria Lopez and Elizabeth Cansino dug up 3 each, and Amber Villafranca dug 2.
