Jennie L. Suggs, age 79, died Wednesday, Dec. 26 at a local hospital in Beeville. She was born to William Cordie and Jennie LaNora (Sinor) Bishop on Oct. 24, 1933 on the Bishop Ranch in Live Oak County. She married Garvin O. Suggs and they remained on the Bishop Ranch. She was a housewife.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son. Johnny Wayne Suggs, one daughter. Linda Ann Suggs and all but one sibling.

Survivors include her husband, Garvin O. Suggs of George West; two sons, Garvin Lee and Carol R. Suggs of Wadsworth and Richard William Suggs of George West; one sister, JoAnne Lange of George West; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A graveside service with a small visitation will be held.

Visitation was held Saturday, Dec. 29 at 10:30 a.m. with the Graveside Service at 11 a.m. at the George West Cemetery in George West.

Pallbearers are sons Garvin Suggs, Ricky Suggs; grandsons, Cordie Suggs, Jody Suggs and Dusty Suggs and great-grandson, Lafayette Martinez.
