Mr. Morin was born Oct. 21, 1943 in Karnes City. He was employed with the Karnes City Independent School District for many years where he served as a custodian.
Survivors include his wife Lydia Mendoza Morin; daughter, Christy (Roman Tovar) Rosales of Austin, son, Michael Morin, Sr. of Inez, Ky., daughter, Carrie (Jimmy) Gonzales of Karnes City, son Billy Morin of Livingston, daughter, Crystal Morin of Austin and daughter, Joslin Morin of Austin; sister, Lupe Saldivar of Fort Worth; brother, Eloy Morin of Sinton; 21 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Friday, May 3 at 2 p.m. at Rhodes Funeral Home with rosary recited at 7 p.m. that evening.
Funeral Mass was held Saturday, May 4 at 10 a.m. at St. Cornelius Catholic Church with Father Stanley officiating.
Burial followed in the Helena Latin Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Joslin Morin, Jenna Rosales, Jesse Morin, Michael Morin, Jr., Justin Pacheco, Jordan Gonzales, Jaymes Torres and Francisco Chavez. Funeral arrangements entrusted to and under the direction of Rhodes Funeral Home.
