Emily June Kelley of Yoakum won the first La Bahia Fall Classic prospect steer show held Oct. 27 at the Goliad County Fair Grounds.

Kelley’s AOB steer weighing 1160 pounds was selected Grand Champion steer by judge Clay Neel of Refugio.

Kannon Goodson of New Braunfels exhibited the Reserve Champion steer.

There were 38 entries from across the state.

Exhibitors from Goliad included Joseph Burns, who had the Reserve Champion Charolais steer, and Carson Dohmann, who had the Reserve Champion AOB steer.

The show will be an annual event to benefit steer exhibitors at the Goliad County Fair.

Sponsors of the show included Ag Med, Goliad Feed, Goliad Pharmacy, Goliad Rotary Club, Brent Dornburg, Glenn and Mary Claire Bradshaw, Michael and Leanne Dohmann, Garlan and Sandra Hoff, and Shawn and Jackie Hoff.
