Thursday night the Kenedy Lions JV hosted the Stockdale Brahmas JV.

Both teams were scheduled to play other teams in which Stockdale was to play Poth and Kenedy was to play Three Rivers but both schools listed didn’t field JV teams this year so the match up was set on Monday.

The two teams were evenly matched as they played to a 12 - 12 tie.

Kenedy would score first as Aaron Villarreal would connect with Victor Monsevais on a 22 yard TD pass.

The 2pt conversion run would be stopped short to leave the Lions in front 6-0.

This would be the first half score as both teams would trade possessions the rest of the half.

In the second half the Brahmas would take advantage of the Lions special teams as a bad punt set them up in the Lions end of the field and they would go down and score to tie it at 6 a piece.

The Brahmas again would score as they recovered the punt snap in the end zone to make it 12 - 6.

In the fourth quarter the Lions would tie it up as Villarreal would scamble in to make it 12-12.

On both teams last possessions they would drive into the other teams red zones but both defenses would halt each drive leaving us at 12-12.
