BEEVILLE — The 2012 Ladies Night Out Committee has presented Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville a $32,175 check — proceeds from last year’s festivities.

The presentation was made last Tuesday, Jan. 22.

The funds will be used to help provide a new patient area, specifically designed for children, at the hospital’s emergency room.

The check was for nearly $6,000 more than what was raised the previous year.

Funds from this year’s event at the Expo Center at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, will benefit the hospital’s Nursing Excellence Fund.

The 10th-annual Cajun-themed event is expected to attract a crowd of more than 400.
