Mrs. Christiansen was born to Manuel and Josefa Soliz Flores in Beeville on Feb. 13, 1951. She was a graduate of A.C. Jones High School and continued her education at Bee County College, receiving her nursing degree. She was employed with the Bee County Sheriff’s Department as the head nurse in the infirmary. She was a member of The Quinn St. Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Josefa Flores; and a brother, Manuel Flores Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Isaias Reyes of Beeville; sons, Eric Christian-sen of Des Moines, Iowa, and Fernando Gonzalez of Beeville; two daughters, Senres Christiansen and Kaycee Christiansen of Beeville; 10 grandchildren, Felicia, Ehren, William, Abigail, Brandi, Christan, Brittani, Lauryn, Mario, and Donovan; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dora (Albert) Juarez of Arizona and Lupita (George) Garibay of Houston; an aunt, Irene Soliz of Beeville; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and her second family, the Bee County Sheriff’s Department.
Visitation was held at Angelus Funeral Home in Beeville beginning at 11 a.m. on Thursday. The funeral service will be conducted that afternoon at 3 p.m. with Robert Bridge and Julio Zuniga officiating. Special music will be provided by Edward Garza, Daniel Longoria and Juan Casas. Services will conclude at the chapel.
