Marjinel Whitenton, Dec. 21, 1924 – Feb. 7, 2014.

Marjinel Whitenton was born December 21, 1924, in Dinero, Texas to Michael Perry and Annamae Wharton.  Marjinel married the love of her life, Bill Whitenton, on June 13, 1942, in Beeville.  Together they raised a family, which consisted of Michael, Richard, Joe and Patrick.

Marjinel was employed by numerous banks throughout her working career, including the First National Bank of Beeville.  Marjinel was a very talented singer, painter and quilter. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with all of her family.  She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Beeville for over 35 years.

Marjinel is survived by sons, Michael (Linda) of Rapid City, South Dakota, Richard (Trisha) of Houston, Texas, Joe (Karen) of Land O’Lakes, Florida and Patrick (Leigh Ann) of Beeville, Texas; ten grandchildren, Dina Marie, Linda Young, Tim Maher, Paige Martin, Megan Whitenton, Tamera Deconti, Rick Tramel, Kevin Tramel, Mallory Whitenton, Morgan Baldwin; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Active pallbearers are: Mike Whitenton, Richard Whitenton, Joe Whitenton, Patrick Whitenton, Joseph Halla, Andy Baldwin.

Honorary pallbearer: Braden Baldwin.

Visitation was held on Monday, February 10, 2014, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel from 6-8 p.m.

Funeral Services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at First United Methodist Church. Burial was held at Beeville Memorial Park.
