A host of new faces will appear at the Thursday, May 27 Refugio County Jamboree.

For this month’s show the Jamboree will welcome entertainers, Don “Ranger” Anderson of Aransas Pass; Daniel Staggs of Refugio; James Edwards, Buddy Edwards, and Al Nelson, all of Corpus Christi.

Al Nelson is a very good drummer and singer who can sing the Ray Price style as well as the Big Band style, says Rick Faircloth, show organizer.

“Not only is he a good singer, he is a good drummer,” Faircloth said.

Music artist Marek has been playing in local bands for years.

“He is a great drummer and he has a wonderful voice that will impress the audience,” Faircloth said.

The Jamboree show is held the fourth Thursday of each month at the Refugio Community Center from 7:30 to approximately 10 p.m.

Admission remains at $4 per person.
