Registered nurses working at Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville gathered last week on Wednesday morning to watch as Mayor Pro Tem Mike Scotten delivered a proclamation, designating the week of May 7-11 as “Nurses Week” in Beeville. The proclamation, signed by Mayor Santiago “Jimbo” Martinez Jr., said that nursing has “contributed to the continuing expansion of life-sustaining technology and the explosive growth of home health care services.” Those on hand for the ceremony were, from left, Earl Rossett, Deborah Whitney, Fred Olivares, Janet Blake, Victor Lara, Victor Gomez, Mari Grace Cuellar, CNO, Scotten, Leticia Hyturria, Kim Montgomery, Raymond Ramos, COO, and Imelda Marin.
