Linda and John Davidson’s home on 1401 E. Bowie St. received the Beeville Garden Club’s Yard of the Month Award for October. An arch of red honeysuckle and ponytail palms welcome visitors to a yard dressed for Halloween with jack-o’-lanterns surrounded by chrysanthemums. Fire bush, potato vines, hibiscus and Boston fern also enhance the yard’s appeal. The back yard has several varieties of blooming plants, hanging plants and greenery such as candlestick, staghorn fern, blue sky vine and lantana.
