To acquire a license, an applicator must attend a private pesticide applicator training conducted by the Texas AgriLife Extension Service.
A training and testing has been set up for Friday, Dec. 14, starting at 8 a.m. at the Bee County Extension Office, 210 E. Corpus Christi St. in Beeville. A representative from the Texas Department of Agriculture will be on hand for the testing starting at approximately 1 p.m.
An applicant must make a 70 or better on the test and pay TDA $60 before their license will be issued. Applicants are encouraged to purchase study materials from the Bee County Extension Office for $40 prior to the training and testing. The cost for the training is $10/participant.
