Rotary hosts variety of speakers from U.N. ambassador to German student

The Rotary International Club of Beeville meets at noon each Wednesday at the Beeville Country Club.

Guest speakers for the month of February were Malika Hennies, Rotary exchange student from Germany; Jessy T. Garza, president of the board of directors at the Bee County Chamber of Commerce; Sichan Siv, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations; and Louis Leal on martial arts/Tai Chi.

Guests during the month were Dr. O.B. Vaughn of Corpus Christi; Patty Dobson; Brandy McClelan, Best Western manager; Frank Warner, attorney; Rev. Al Leveridge of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church; and Kathy Belcher, counselor at A.C. Jones High School.

Donna Smith was welcomed back to the Beeville Rotary Club.

The next scholarship fund-raiser, the Rotary-Ryder Golf Tournament, will be announced later.
