Coastal Bend College Cougar catcher Shelby Winters tries to field a late and slightly off target throw to the plate during Friday’s first game with the Alvin Community College Dolphins. The visitors captured both games of their doubleheader. The first game was a close 2-0 loss for the Cougars and game two was a slugfest at 11-7 with the Dolphins on top. Saturday proved to be a better day for the Cougars as they split their twin bill with the visiting Galveston College women. Galveston pounded out a 12-2 win in the first game, but the CBC Cougars rebounded and won the finale, 6-5. The Cougars finished their season on Tuesday with a makeup game vs. San Jacinto College in Houston.
