Below – The southern stands of the footbal stadium at A.C. Jones High School should be completed by Friday, Woodrow Ham, business manager of the Beeville Independant School District, said. The new stands, holding 3,000 person, will seat the visitors and the band.
"They are a litlle bit deeper and not quite as long as the other side, which seats 3,500," Ham added. The completed structure's built of galvanized steel by the Sturdisteel Co. of Waco and is 'a real fine addition,'" Ham said. All that remains to be built after the stands are finished will be a sidewalk and fence, which are to be built in front of the stands before the first game of theseaon on Sept. 2.
