BEEVILLE – Teach Loud, Learn Proud moves to Thomas Jefferson Intermediate School.

With the recent changes in the Beeville ISD, sixth-grade teacher John Johnson moves the Teach Loud, Learn Proud program to TJIS as well.

This year, the program will be at two schools, TJIS as well as Moreno Junior High. This is the fourth year of this program that started with current TJIS Principal Jean Blankenship in 2009. Mrs. Blankenship said, “I am very excited to have the TL,LP program at TJIS this year.” She also noted that it will have a positive impact at TJIS.

“It has grown and become a very successful program,” Johnson says. Loudmouth Golf and its CEO, Larry Jackson, have played an important part in starting TL,LP program and continues to be a great influence. “Bringing the program to a new campus is exciting,” Johnson replied. “I hope to see more teachers sporting the Loudmouth pants here at TJIS,” he added.

With the recent STAAR test results showing improvement in the eighth-grade scores this year, Principal Joni Barber cites that the Teach Loud, Learn Proud program played a role in the improvement.
