Three Rivers – Valero Three Rivers Refinery recently presented five area children’s charities with $220,000 in donations from the proceeds of their 2013 Valero Texas Open Benefit for Children Golf Classic.

These organizations included South Texas Children’s Home Ministries; Live Oak County Child Welfare, Inc.; Live Oak County Boys & Girls Clubs; Boys & Girls Club of Beeville; and George West Education Foundation.

“These are gifts meant to inspire our community agencies to continue their good work and make hope happen for the children they serve,” said Harry Wright, vice president and general manager of Valero Three Rivers Refinery.

During the presentation, Wright publicly thanked the many businesses which helped raise the money to meet the needs of area children.
