Veronica Rocha announces she will run for Justice of the Peace Pct. 2 in the Democratic Primary on March 2.
I am a lifelong resident of Refugio County and I am married to Ramiro “Junior” Rocha. I am a member, lector and chairman of the finance committee of St. James Catholic Church. I have served in the following civic organizations: member and past president of Refugio Chamber of Commerce, secretary of Refugio County Fair Association, director of the Refugio County Boys and Girls Club, treasurer and secretary for the Refugio County Historical Society, currently a member of the Refugio Woman’s club and director and secretary to Refugio Economic Development Corporation (Division of the City).
My previous political experience has been Refugio County Tax Assessor-Collector for five terms. My decision to seek the Office of Justice of the Peace was motivated by my desire to continue to serve the people of Refugio County.
I feel I am capable of handling the responsibilities of the office and will administer fair and equal justice for all citizens. I will be impartial and efficient when handling the judicial duties in order for us to move forward in a positive manner for the good of the whole community.
I feel that my 43 years of service and job performance to the County and its citizens shows my dedication as a public servant. I entrust your vote in the upcoming election.
