He graduated from Skidmore High School in 1950. In September 1951, he enlisted in the Army and proudly served his country during the Korean War era.
He was employed by San Patricio Electric in Sinton for 22 years and later for U.S. Steel in George West. He was a member of Adams Street Church of Christ, Beeville.
Survivors are his wife of 57 years, Joye Wallis Bohac; children, Cindy Bohac of Corpus Christi, Texas, Brenda Lewis of Bar Nunn, Wyoming, and Steven (Abylene) Bohac of Skidmore, Texas; brothers, Jackie (Maude) Bohac of Olmos Community, and Joe Bohac of Lockhart, Texas; sisters-in-law, Beth Ermis of Mathis, Texas, and Lola Pate of Jourdanton, Texas; 8 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Beeville, Texas. Interment was held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2012, at Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas.
