Zuniga, Torres to wed Nov. 3

Abelina Zuniga of San Juan and Ryan Nathaniel Torres of Beeville are pleased to announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Tomas and Enriqueta Zuniga of San Juan and the granddaughter of the late Maximino and Francisca Bustos and Ramon and Abelina Zuniga. She attended South Texas High School for Health Professions, graduating in 2004, and the University of Texas-Pan American, where she earned a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in rehabilitation and counseling in 2010. She is currently employed as a vocational rehabilitation counselor for the Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services.

The prospective groom is the son of Marcos and LaShawn Torres of Beeville and the grandson of Marvin and Tyra Dove of Beeville and the late Marcos and Judy Torres. He attended A.C. Jones High School, graduating in 2008, and Edmundo Mireles Training Academy. He is currently employed as a correctional officer for the TDCJ Garza East Unit.

The couple plan to wed Saturday, Nov. 3, at 5 p.m. at the High Five Ranch in Beeville.
