“The young running Trojans did an awesome job competing in TR. There has been so much improvement since the first week, and it’s so exciting to watch our kids run, jump and throw,” said summer track coach Linda Luna.
“They are having a lot of fun out there.”
Results of the meet include:
The “A” team in the Primary girls division finished fourth with the foursome of Carrah Davis, O’Maley Carrillo, Serenity Manzano and Raeann Martinez. The “B” squad was close back in fifth with members Kyra Davis, Maggy Moremon, Mikayla Cascalano and Annica Gonzales.
The Primary boys “A” team placed second with Matthew Soliz, Peyton Tavarez and Ethan Estrada trading the baton. The boys’ “B” team finished sixth. The squad included Marco Menchaca, Brian Rivas, Manuel Hernandez and Audarryon Moses.
The Bantam division girls also placed second in their relay event. Ariana Ruiz, Destiny Manzano, Lana Garcia and Megan Del Bosque competed for the Beeville team. The boys did well and placed third in their race with the foursome of Cameron Ward, Alec Puentes, Malahki Moses and Desmond Givens.
The Midget division girls’ “A” team of Abigail Gonzales, Megan Gonzales, Jolie Carrillo and Shaynea Redmond captured first place. The “B” team of Tara Barrera, Jacqueline Hernandez, Alexis Del Bosque and Julia Nail took home fifth place ribbons.
The boys also won their Midget division event with the squad of Gabriel Carranco, Logan Kimbrough, Stephen Moreno and Carlos Escamilla.
Gabriel Carranco placed second in the Midget division with a time of 3:00.
In the Primary group of girls, Raeann Martinez finished first in her heat. Danika Gonzales was second, as was Serenity Manzano. Annica Gonzales placed third, as did Carrah Davis.
The boys got a first place finish from Ethan Estrada and Peyton Tavarez. Brian Rivas finished fifth, while Audarryon Moses and Jackson Hughes earned sixth place ribbons.
In the Sub-Bantam division, Megan Del Bosque won her heat. Ariana Ruiz placed third, while Destiny Manzano finished fourth. Amanda Camacho and Victoria Garza won sixth place ribbons. Alec Puentes was sixth in the Sub-Bantam boys group of runners.
Bantam girl runner Yaneli Aguilar placed third, and Salma Manzano was fourth in her heat. For the boys, Beeville’s Cameron Ward placed third, and Desmond Givens finished sixth.
In the Sub-Midget class, Jacqueline Hernandez placed second for the girls, as did Jolie Carrillo. Kylie Cantu finished sixth. Alex Aguilar captured a second place ribbon in his Sub-Midget sprint event.
In the Midget girls division, Megan Gonzales and Shaynea Redmond crossed the finish line in first place in their heats. Julia Nail was third and Abigail Gonzales fourth. Alexis Del Bosque came in fifth for Beeville.
Carlos Escamilla won his Midget heat in the 100-meter dash, while Logan Kimbrough finished second in his heat.
Megan Gonzales placed second in the hurdles in the Midget division, while Stephen Moreno was first in the same division for the Beeville boys.
In the Primary girls division, the Beeville squad got a first place effort from Serenity Manzano while Danika Gonzales, O’Maley Carrillo and Raeann Martinez placed second in their respective heats. Maggy Moremon was third, while Carrah Davis placed fourth. Alicia Garcia and Mikayla Cascalano were fifth.
Peyton Tavarez placed sixth for the Primary boys in the 200-meter dash.
Sub-Bantam runner Megan Del Bosque placed second with Ariana Ruiz crossing the finish line in third in the same group. Destiny Manzano earned a fourth place ribbon. Alec Puentes was third for the boys.
In the Bantam girls division, Salma Manzano placed third, with Lana Garcia coming across in fifth. For the boys, Cameron Ward was second and Malahki Moses placed sixth.
Sub-Midget competition saw Jacqueline Hernandez place first in her tough heat. Jolie Carrillo finished in fourth. Alex Aguilar ran to a second place finish in his heat.
In the Midget girls event, Shaynea Redmond placed first, while Abigail Gonzales finished third. For the boys, Carlos Escamilla captured first place in his heat, while Logan Kimbrough came in second and Connor Hughes was third.
In the Primary girls division, Beeville’s Annica Gonzales captured a first place ribbon and Alicia Garcia placed second. For the boys, Ethan Estrada won his heat while Matthew Soliz placed fourth.
Bantam girls division runner Yaneli Aguilar earned a second place ribbon in the 400-meter event.
Sub-Midget girls Joile Carrillo placed third and Kylie Cantu took fifth. Demi DeLeon was sixth in the Midget girls group. Logan Kimbrough placed third for the Midget boys, while Gabriel Carranco finished fifth.
Raeann Martinez placed fourth in Primary girls with a leap of 8-4. Boys Peyton Tavarez and Ethan Estrada tied for fourth with jumps of 8-8.
Megan Del Bosque was second in the Sub-Bantam girls long jump at 1-3. Ariana Ruiz placed fourth at 9-9. In the Bantam division, Yaneli Aguilar finished second with a leap of 9-10, while Salma Manzano was sixth at 6-0. Desmond Givens leaped to a second place ribbon with a 12-3 effort. Cameron Ward placed sixth at 10-7.5.
Jaqueline Hernandez placed fourth in the Sub-Midget group with a leap of 11-4.5. Alex Aguilar’s jump of 13-8.5 was good for first place in the Sub-Midget boys division.
Shaynea Redmond won the Midget girls long jump with a leap of 15-2. Carlos Escamilla also won the boys’ side of the event in that division with a great jump of 17-1.5 Logan Kimbrough placed second at 14-5, and Gabriel Carranco was third at 13-8.5.
Jackson Hughes placed first in the Primary boys event with a good toss of 11-10. Faith Sandoval placed third in the Sub-Bantam girls group (no measurement provided). Lana Garcia took first place in the Bantam girls division with a 15-9 effort. In the Sub-Midget girls, Kylie Cantu continued Beeville’s winning ways with a top throw of 20-10. Demi DeLeon was third in her group of Midget girls with a throw of 19-2. In the Midget boys, Stephen Moreno placed third.
The young summer track stars finished their season on Friday with a meet in Woodsboro.
