Mrs. Barlow was born Nov. 8, 1918, in Sublette, Ill., the fifth of 13 children, to Myrtle (Helfrich) and Elmer Grim Stouffer. She married Frank H. Barlow in the Sublette Union Church on July 24, 1940.
She was preceded in death by her husband on March 7, 2008; her parents; a grandson, Brett; three sisters, Helen Daniels, Elaine Hasselman Passwater and Dorothy Conderman; and six brothers, John, Elton “Si”, Dale, Harold, Elmer “Tim” and Kenneth.
Survivors include a daughter, Janet Barlow of Beeville; three sons, Dana (Bev) Barlow of Eldena, Ill., Ralph (Susan) Barlow of Erie, Ill., and Dale (Shirley) Barlow of Amboy, Ill.; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren;two sisters, Irma Bonnell of Amboy, Ill. and Lois Day of Osage Beach, Mo.; a bother, Paul (Mary) Stouffer of Dixon, Ill.; sisters-in-law; cousins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, March 1, in the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy, Ill.
The funeral service was conducted there Friday, March 1, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Lynn Bond officiating. Burial followed in Woodside Cemetery in Lee Center.
