Indubitably! Looks like the Karnes version is doing a downplay of its own--a big report on auto accidents spiking, but leaving out who the major culprits might be--it ain't bus drivers!

Scratch my earlier comment. I'm reading about Raza Unida and they could be in fear of retaliation by the gang members not locked up behind bars. It's probably best to remain silent and safe.

Very odd that the editor decides that "Black History Month" is the top story happening in town when there wasn't word mentioned about it until the month almost ended and less than 3 percent of the population in town is black.

Meanwhile, this story on a federal investigation that involves corrupt prison guards, criminal gangs, drug smuggling, and murder isn't "newsworthy". Not a peep about it by the Bee-Pic staff--even to respond to reader comments. What's next--will they start censoring our comments?

You know, DiffView2, you mirror my thoughts exactly. Could it be that the trusty Bee-Pic is protecting this scandal? It even made the KTRK News in Houston. Curious indeed.....
