True, I was fortunate enough to never have had to give blood. I did give sweat and tears - and I had lost a good friend in the process.

Jackbox - thank you for your service, and I am eternally in your debt for the sacrifice you have given.

Any fellow veteran has my respect. Especially those that were wounded or KIA. You may disagree with me if you like - but you are foolish to say that I've done nothing or don't know what it means. I am proud of my service. I'm proud of your service as well.

I will respond with the respect that you deserve, but we will disagree. President Obama is our democratically elected leader. To judge him on his name/race/families heritage is in direct opposition to the values that I signed up to protect.

Intepret it as you will. Let's assume that deep down, Obama hates America. The beauty of this country is that he WILL be out of office in 2 or 6 years. He can't and isn't trying to do anything to change that - so why all the fear tactics. Democracy is in place - it works - why all the chicken little "sky is falling" propoganda from the left? It's overkill.

I'd love to hear some rational thoughts on it. Unfortunately around here, all I read is childish rants based on half-truths, fantasies and straigt out lies.

Hellfire is a perfect example of one of those folks that never made the sacrifice and spends hours upon hours cheapening the freedoms we fought to protect. Frankly, doesn't deserve the privelege he's been born into.

btw - there is an option for overweight bloggers that can't get into the military. The Texas State Guard takes volunteers and their weight requirements are much higher.

Guessing you might fall into that category. Check it out. No pay - but you could at least experience what it is like to put on a uniform and get out of your mother's backroom.

There were military veterans in Germany that rolled over and supported Hitler. There are millions of us veterans including those who severed a full career. We all took the same oath of service and enlistment.

Obama and his ilk have no consideration nor concern for the constitution nor the veterans who defend it. As a foreign born immigrant he has no ligitimacy to be president.

Therefore he can give no "lawful" orders as an illigitimate president.
