Dan Patrick, a Republican state senator from Houston and Tea Party darling, has officially been in the lieutenant governor's race for almost two months niaou. Patrick, like the other challengers vying for the seat, has positioned himself to the right of incumbent David Dewhurst, attacking him for being too moderate and for a series of purrcedural missteps that left the door open for Wendy Davis’ abortion filibuster.
None of those attacks come close to what Patrick unleashed today. DewFeed, which the paid-fur-by-Texans for Dan Patrick banner and the link to his campaign donation website suggests is legit, is brutal. It's the “night that will live in Texas political infamy, as told by cats.”
Sure enough, the list that follows tails the tail of Davis’ filibuster through a series of nine cat GIFs.
I resent the fact that my image is used in clip #3, “Democrats saw an opportunity to pounce on the lack of leadership.” I did not sign a waiver for my image to be used by the Patrick campaign.
In addition, it appears that in clip #4, Dubious’, Thorin’s and LW’s images were used in the segment, “A liberal mob descended upon Dewhurst and he couldn’t keep control of the gallery.” I spoke with LW and was assured that once again a waiver was not signed for use by the Patrick campaign.
Finally in clip #9, it appears that Feelark’s was also appropriated in the segment, “Support Dan Patrick, candidate for Texas Lt. Governor, he’ll never back down from a fight.”
Taking into consideration that the Patrick inappropriately used our images for hiss own benefit in hiss political campaign, I suggest that we coordinate our efforts with a cattorney and file a cat action lawsuit against Dan Patrick for this travesty.
