I like what President Obama has been doing with regards to health care, but I'm shock at all the people who scream at the idea of reform without giving any ideas we can work with, hence the Republican party platform this November.

It seems like anytime we get something good going the corporate elite brainwashes the simple minded public into hating it. I guess they hate the idea of insurance company’s being told not to drop people because they get sick, and they sure as hell don't want your kid's to be on your insurance until they're 26. They sure as hell hate women being able to get free preemptive screenings! So if your kid gets a life terminal disease and gets drop from your coverage and dies please don’t look at me screaming at the injustice of it well drowning in debt.

If this law gets repealed I will make it my life mission to go out and fight the fringe elements of this society that I strongly believe is misguided in their views. It will no longer be one step forward and two steps back. It will be two steps forward and strongly stand our ground for the way this country should be. I want universal healthcare, affordable higher education, and a livable minimal wage! So I pledge to vote against the Republican Party this November and vote straight party on my ballot in support of the Democratic Party.

I don't care where you reside and I doubt that Laselva does either. However, Bam and the Secret Service might be interested if they don't already know.

Hmmm, 46 years of absent cherishing people. Screams of someone that has no real life. Odd you assume you know what other people think. You have serious mental issues. The kicker is you have no clue as to where I reside. Now hurray up and tell another whopper, LMAO @ U!!!

Dear Way2Close-

Thanks for your comments amidst the rapid fire, hate-spewing postings. This whole experience reminds me that Beeville has and had some very lovely people who I still cherish to this day, but also some real characters.

I think it's funny that they think all of their critics are the same person posing as many. And they'll also believe that I'm writing this to myself.

Way nutty.

Take care.

Laselva:

Thanks for your comments—I agree with most of your statements with a few exceptions.

First one digression, you mentioned that police departments don’t make money. You must have missed some recent articles on this Website regarding how much the law enforcement agencies in the region have made off of drug forfeitures. I’ve also read about the law enforcement agencies selling firearms that were confiscated in other news media in order to meet budgetary pressures. I respect the people that protect and serve us, but at the same time law enforcement has developed into its own business with a business model that serves to perpetuate the personal interests of the privileged and those employed within the system.

I do agree with your about doctors and their roles as public servants. Unfortunately in these times it appears as though everything is viewed as a commodity. I sometimes even call the Human Resources department the Human Commodities department since most commodities are typically used then disposed of—similar to how some employers treat their workers.

My mention of the “free-market” was intended as sarcasm and not meant to endorse or condone the health care system as it is currently structured. I realize the importance of having “profits” in business, but the underlying question is whether the charges paid by patients and their insurers are excessive? However, trying to regulate excess profit would involve so much bureaucracy that I reached the same conclusion as you--the health and well-being of US citizens should not be treated as a commodity to make fortunes off our suffering or illness. This is one of the basic principles that we fought for in the 2008 election.

Once again, thanks for your contribution to this discussion.

Way2close-

One of the arguments used against any kind of health care, and there are many, is to use the Post Office as a typical government agency (which it isn't), who has never made a profit. It's a wonderful service that delivers your mail anywhere in the country for under 50¢. But I'm off the topic; I'm not writing to defend the Post Office, but I wonder why we don't use the same example for the police or fire departments. They don't make any money either. And the last time I checked, the military has pretty much bankrupted the economy. Why don't we treat health providers (Doctors and hospitals), the same as the police or fire services. When you're house is on fire, the fire dept. doesn't ask to see your home insurance. Doctors should be public servants, paid well of course, but not a for-profit business. The health of Americans should not be traded on Wall Street like oil and car manufacturers...when did cancer become profitable?

I say take "Free Market" where it belongs, but the health and well-being of US citizens should not be treated as a commodity to make fortunes off our suffering or illness.

This is not a Liberal or Conservative approach, it is a common sense approach to the health of Americans.

Hellfire's comments were removed because he could not follow the rules stated--particularly when you place it 12 times in the same post.

Please view other blogs if you need further evidence of his moronic, dumb, retarded, imbecilic mongoloid thought processes.

Hellfire:

Even though you don't deserve it, I'll answer your questions.

1) The funding will come from insurance premiums and taxes. So yes, if more people and more medical conditions are covered then prices will adjust. That's what happens in a free market economy.

2) The beneficiaries--the young who will be able to stay on their parents policies because the current jobs don't offer health insurance, children with pre-existing conditions. I could list more, but it's just as easy for you to do a search as it is for me.

3) Panels--who really cares how they are appointed? Insurance companies already have their own panels to decide whether to pay or deny claims. I prefer that people making the judgment calls are motivated by more than receiving a pay raise for denying a claim and that those people also consider other factors such as quality of life when deciding treatment options.

Finally HF, you are confused. I have not purchased or sold any real estate within the last few years, so you have not exposed anything. However, if you want to stay busy conducting land title searches throughout the country to prove a negative, then feel free to waste your time.

Please note to all responders that I reserve the right to delete your comment if your reply contains anything about Muslims, illegal aliens, removing President Obama from office or anything of a similar nature. Sorry, but that's the rules on this blog--take your negative hatred towards the President somewhere else.

If you asked me any questions, obviously they had no relevance to the subject or were so ridiculous they were ignored. In any case, I do not remember.

I ask relevant and simple pointed questions about the subject of your post, yet you fail to answer. You can’t answer because you don’t have an answer. If you had any answers you would immediately put them here. None appear thereby confirming that you have absolutely no idea what you are posting. That is abundantly apparent.

Yes, you are correct that under way2close name you did not state you sold real estate, but we all know the statement was yours. Just another example of you putting your mouth in motion before putting your brain in gear.

Having exposed you once more, I grow bored with the mundane nonsense you exhibit. I shall leave you to your subnormal thought process anguishing in ignorance.

HF:

You did not answer any of my questions recently, so why should I bother answering any of yours?

Also, I never said that I bought or sold any real estate within the past year. You are obviously confused. Then again, that's the new normal for you.

I bet this post don’t last an hour.

No doubt, you would love it, as you exist in fantasyland where the dreams of morons come true. Lets see if you are able to answer a few simple questions about what you love (you won‘t because you can‘t!); how is this “healthcare” going to be funded, who actually benefits from the countless contradictions in the guidelines, how are panels established and who will sit on them?

Your post has as much credibility as your lie about selling “investment real estate” LMAO @ U!!!
